When it comes to providing an online shop and ecommerce systems, we don't offer a one-size-fits-all solution. For starters, some sites sell products whereas others, such as Vitil Training, sell services.
This particular client didn't want their customers to have to log in before they booked a course, so the ecommerce system we developed for them needed to be able to do the job in one.
The ecommerce system on the website also needed to include multi-payment options, so customers could reserve a place without paying, pay a 10 per cent deposit, pay the full price via credit card or raise a purchase order.
We built Vitil Training's ecommerce system using VirtueMart, which is an ecommerce component for the Joomla content management system, tweaking the software where necessary to fit the client's requirements.
We don't use Virtuemart on occasions where it isn't cost effective and we're always on the lookout for suitable alternatives but where there isn't one, we build a bespoke ecommerce system.
Security of ecommerce websites is of utmost importance. Our own ecommerce systems are embedded with specialist encryption information to protect your business. As we provide hosting services for Vitil Training, we are able to offer a water-tight seal between the site technology and the server it sits on.
Search engine optimisation is just as relevant to ecommerce system sites as it is to standard ones.
Vitil Training have additional content creation on their site in the form of further ITIL training information. The more information they provide on their product, they higher they will score in general internet searches about this type of training.
